We contracted this moving company for our move from CA to Florida in mid 2021. Everything seemed fine until we gave them our $2,670 deposit. When we were getting closer to our move date we tried to contact them to set up the details, and they were IMPOSSIBLE to get in touch with, by e-mail or telephone. No response to e-mails OR phone, only could leave a message which they never would return. We've reported them to the state of Florida but are very doubtful we'll ever receive our money. These people are nothing more than criminals.

Spoke with the Customer Service Manager today with Authority Moving Group and we came to a resolution on the vehicle transport issue. Other issue still exist.

Great Services at FIRST.. I used Authority Moving Group to move from FL to PA, there were responsible for moving cars and my home with a full pack service. The day before my move they called and asked to move the pick up day from monday until tuesday in which I told them that would not work based on the sale of my home. Received a call the day of the move from Radius Moving foreman who said they are on their way. Several hours later (Approx 2pm) they arrived with a crew, before packing an item the told me it was going to me over the cuft I reserved for my move (it should be noted that I did a phone estimate and then Authority Moving sent a independent person to my home to do an estimate who estimated a little over 2800 cu ft. which to be safe I purchased 2 full trucks 3400 cuft. Being stuck the foreman called the owner Michelle who said at worst it would be an additional $1500 to move everything with a guaranteed delivery date. My community was a restricted community so work had to end at 830 and they said they will be back by 10am. At 930 that morning I seen the moving truck outside my community I assumed he was waiting for the rest of the crew.. Around noon I received a call from the foreman who asked me to bring him dollies so they could unload the truck at the first storage facility. So I load my car and took the dollies to them for them to arrive at my house around 3pm. They finally got the home packed around 9pm. This was after a call from Authority Moving about paying them cash so they can pay the crew and a argument between the foreman and crew in my drive way. When I received my items several items were broken even worse my kids play station was stolen. I attempted to settle this but they refused to do the right thing and fix all the things that were broken and/or stolen.

IN ADDITION during my car transport I agreed to pay additional money to get the vehicles transported and when the transporter arrived with my vehicles he would not let them off the truck without paying $1800 when $1500 was what we agreed to. I spoke with Authority Moving several times while the transporter was there and they told me I should only be paying $1500. Authority Moving agreed to reimburse me the extra $300 I had to pay to have my cars freed and 2 month later they have refused to pay me. The last message from the owner said read the contract which said $1500.00 was to be paid upon delivery. I even have text message from the manager that they were to send me the $300.00.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY AS I HAVE TO GET MY LEGAL COUNSEL INVOLVED. I WILL BE POSTING THIS MESSAGE EVERYWHERE I CAN TO PROTECT OTHERS.

I moved from Texas to Florida using Authority Moving Group and they are amazing! When I first talked to them I was skeptical at first because this isn't the first time I moved out of state and I had bad experiences with different moving companies at the time. Authority Moving Group changes my mind on that. They were well organized in the customer service department as well as Quality Assurance. On the day of my pickup, everything I went over the phone with the agent was accounted for and the price stayed the same. Also when they delivered my stuff I had no issues. I highly recommend this company if you are planning on moving across the country or even if you are moving locally.

Authority Moving Group contracted a scam moving driver which my belongings were recoverd in Denver Colorado by a detective, almost 2,000 miles in the opposite direction of where the delivery was scheduled. The driver was under investigation and was caught up in a storage facility. It cost $2,000 to hire a driver and truck to recover the items that were recovered by the Denver police and detective from Castlerock Colorado. A refund was given for the deposit by Authority Moving Group, I did not trust the company to have any further contact with my personal property.

BEWARE- DO NOT USE!

This company is a scam, they are not a moving company but a broker. They third party out your move to unlicensed criminal movers that you have no part in choosing or are aware of as they mislead you to believe they are a moving company. Beware of their sales reps, they are misleading and purposely quote you low to pay a deposit. Their reviews on on there sites are filled with fake reviews! They tell you you have all your things covered by their insurance and make you sign which in turn is refusing insurance coverage before they tell you you could of had better insurance! Complete scam, extortion, misleading practices!

The movers they chose for me VSNY made sure I was alone on the side of the road before telling me I had to pay more then quoted and then cornered me in a garage for tips! As a single young women I overpaid because they had my things and I felt threatened.

My things arrived 2 weeks later with a whole new crew. Come to find VSNY also third party contracted my move to two men willing to deliver my things for them! Not even a licensed mover and without my knowledge. They damaged all my things from mattress, couch,clothes,dishes,cups.. all my things were soaking wet and squished. On top of it all the mover sexually harassed me the entire time he was in my home even with my kid next to me. I felt threatened embarrassed and disgusted. I didn’t even realize how damaged my things were or the damage they did to my home because I just wanted this disgusting man out of my home.

I have been calling heather, Jessica, Michael, Sam VSNY for 2 months to file an insurance claim and they refuse to allow me! I was even lied to on the phone by VSNY that All the documents needed to be mailed physically to me according to the laws!! I have upwards of $10k in damages and requesting the movers employee name to file a police report and they said well we can offer you $500 to stay quite! This is disgusting! A horrible company with no morals or care for their customers!!

I am reporting this company to every outlet possible and filing legally against them!

STAY AWAY PLEASE!! DONT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE AS ME!! SAVE YOURSELF!!

My move was an absolute nightmare with them. One of the most stressful experiences of my life. They quoted me one amount and when they arrived, they wanted to charge 3X the amount. My move window was very tight and if it were any tighter I may have had no choice but to pay that extortionate amount. I got a call from someone named Jesse who convinced me to give them another chance to do a second quote. When they came the second time they STILL wanted to charge more than the quote, but at that point I really did have no choice. The company doing the actual moving was a different company. It seems Authority is a moving “broker” which means they pawn off the actual moving to another company. Jesse ghosted me and booked an AWFUL company who handled my stuff terribly, took over a month to deliver despite my calling on a daily basis asking about my things, and they damaged almost all of my furniture. The 5 star reviews on here must be paid reviews because the 1 star reviews are much closer to the truth. Don’t use this company. They are crooked.

Scam moving company. They promise everything over the phone and then have you sign a contract that negates everything you discussed. DO NOT HIRE THEM! I have to take them to court to get my things! IT'S BEEN WEEKS AND I STILL HAVEN'T GOTTEN MY THINGS!

They contracted with a moving company that has an F rating on the BBB. Authority Moving has a C- rating on BBB.

Oh, and if you get David Thomas or Brinae, call the cops--the worst scam artists I have ever come across!!!

They increased the price 2x, and I still don't have my things. I have to take them to court to get my property AND my money back. These folks should not be allowed to be in business.

Never use this company. Make sure you go to Google Review, and sort the reviews by "LOWEST RATING" before you make a decision. I hope you decide AGAINST this company. Make sure you tell others NOT to use this company as well.

Here is my case:

I had a call with James Perkins. He was very kind and helped me throughout the process. Because of him, I proceeded and made the deposit. I paid $700+ deposit using ACH. Later, I read Google Reviews sorting from the lowest rating -- oh my god, people tell tragic moving stories using this company! Within 70 hrs, I followed the company's cancellation policy and canceled my service reservation. I called James Perkins to inform him. Within minutes of the call, I received a call from Steven Ross from the company. He wrote me an email promising a full refund on Jul 7. Later, I battled with the customer service and the billing department. They do not use direct deposit and insisted of mailing me a check. They use a team of messengers to talk between you and the billing department. They take your messages and will call you back. They never call me back. They said they were going to mail me a check. The rest of the story, it has been more than 1 month, and I still have not received my $700+ refund and have not received a call back.

I moved from Illinois to Georgia earlier this year with Authority moving group. I was extremely happy with the expert care they gave my belongings. I wouldn’t hesitate to call them again. They really understood what I wanted and their guys bent over backwards to make sure I was happy. They’re definitely unique when it comes to movers. I don’t think I’ve gotten service like this with any company before. They were great to work with, highly professional and very ethical. I recommend them.

So highly recommended!! This was the first time I used a moving company and I don’t think I will ever move without one again. Authority Moving Group was worth every cent I paid. I got so many quotes but Authority was by far the most affordable. Everything in my home was packed up and on its way in 7 hours! I couldn’t believe their speed! I also didn’t notice any damage at all. They know what they’re doing. The customer service was so great. Thank you for taking such good care of everything.

I moved with Authority Moving Group a little over a month ago and right from the start I had a good feeling about them. Even over the phone they were professional but also personable and easy to communicate with. I’ve used other moving companies before and the difference is night and day. They kept things clean, handled all my things with great respect, and delivered everything is the same condition it wasn’t in when they packed it up. If you’re going to trust someone with everything you own you want it to be movers like this. I feel really good that I moved with them and really good about recommending them.

Authority Moving did a great job with our move. We originally hired another company who flaked on us and these guys are able to help us out. They accommodated our last minute move which we’d were so grateful for but they also handled all of our things expertly. There wasn’t a single scratch or scuff on anything. I am happy to say that I would use them again. I don’t think I’ll be moving again for a long time but if you are I highly recommend calling Authority Moving Group.

I have moved many times but have never liked my experience so much that I decided to write a review. That should say something. I found Authority Moving Group online and of all the quotes I got they offered me the best rate. It turned out they also had the best service. They were attentive to my needs, flexible with my scheduling, and careful with my belongings. Truly, what else could you ask for in a mover? I hate moving and genuinely hope to never have to do it again but if I do I won’t need to search anywhere else. I know Authority is the place to go.

I had actually hired an entirely other moving company who completely dropped out at the last minute. We were scrambling when we called Authority Moving Group. Not only did they manage to calm us down but they got us scheduled and back in business. A few days later we had a truck in front of our house and three guys to help us get our house on it’s way. They were all so kind a respectful, they worked hard, and cared for our things. This was a safe and easy move made even better by the customer service.

I used these guys way back in December and I’m kind of kicking myself for not writing a review sooner. I had everything packed when they arrived but didn’t have any of the furniture wrapped or protected. They happily took care of that for us. We were so impressed. The guys really hurried and hustled to make sure our move was finished quickly. I don’t think they took a single break. They really kept at it and did a fabulous job. These are really nice guys and we would gladly recommend them.

I chose the people I hit very carefully and really try to do my research. I ultimately ended up hiring Authority because of the positive reviews I found online and the positive feeling I had when speaking/scheduling with them. From the beginning they were upfront and honest about everything. They gave me a clear estimate and a clear time frame for everything. The movers themselves were down to earth and easy to work with. They’re a great business and I look forward to any future moves I might have with them.
